He has kind and gentle eyes, and holds her hand with care. While she loves him, she would rather be ANYWHERE else that having her photo taken! All her friends were swimming at the local pond - but her mother insisted she put on her best dress, big bow in her hair, and have her portrait taken with her Grandfather. She knew by the time she was done, all the other kids would have already gone home for dinner. Maybe she could bribe her Grandfather into ice cream on the way home...

This photograph of a young girl with what my be her grandfather. It is from around the late 1890s, and was part of a large collection from an estate in Iowa. Add this photograph to your collection, or use it for altered art or mixed media projects.

This antique photograph is in very good vintage condition. The photo is clean and is free of rips and tears. The photo card has minor edge wear. The back of the photograph is blank (no handwriting).
