Antique Photo Post Card of Man in Long Coat with Fur Hat (c.1890s)
Photo Post Card of Man in Long Coat...
We think every face tells a story. What was this man's story?
Maybe he grew up on a farm in Iowa, but always dreamed of heading North. Not just to Minnesota, buy WAY North - to the Yukon! He had lofty goals of mining for gold while living in the wilderness. He made his way to the Klondike in 1882 - years before the stampede of prospectors made their way north - and met a geologist named Dawson. Together they struck gold and the rest is history. Who knows?
What do you think his story was?
This photograph of a man is from around the late 1890s. We don't know who this person is, but the photo was found at an estate sale in Iowa. The man in the photo almost looks like he is wearing a Red Army Winter Uniform - his hat looks like a Ushanka.
