Antique Photograph of Mother and Daughter, Minnie and Addie May Jones (c.1890s)
Mother and Daughter...
We think every face tells a story. What was this mother and daughter's story?
While we don't know what their lives were like, we do know that this photo is of Minnie Jane (Bowker) Jones (b.1864) and her daughter Addie May Jones (b.1884). Minnie was married to Richard H. Jones (b.1854) and they lived in Iowa. We also know that Minnie had a niece named Lorena who lived in Cresco Iowa (we have a postcard that Minnie wrote to her niece). Minnie died in 1920 and her and her husband are buried in Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction Iowa.
What do you think their story was?
Minnie may have been the mother of Mable and Bertie Jones, and more than likely related to Lillian Esther Jones . Add this photograph to your collection, or use it for altered art or mixed media projects.
