From researching this family, we discovered that George W. Best was married to Sarah L. Griswold. George was born in Canada on August 29, 1867 and died November 27, 1934. Sarah was born February 2, 1869 and died July 10, 1949. They had a son named Donald D. Best, who was born in 1893 and died in 1904 at age 11. George and Sarah also had a daughter, Edith M. Best who was born in 1901 and died around 1997. We have a photograph of Donald Best at one year old available separately in our shop. We also have several photographs of more Griswold family members.

ITEM CONDITION
This antique photograph is in very good vintage condition - especially considering it is around 124 years old. There is writing on the front of the photograph that says "George W. Best". The card is embossed with "Yarrington, 1891, Bristol, Conn.". This photo was found with others in the group from an estate sale.
