Vintage Metal "48" Train Track Number Sign, Double-Sided (c.1930s)

ITEM CONDITION:
This double-sided metal train track sign is in great rustic condition. The paint has cracked in the most interesting way. The metal is a heavy steel. There are 4 dents in the metal due to being shot, but the bullet dimples do not go all the way through the metal. The black number on the sign was originally painted on the sign, then covered with black vinyl long ago. The vinyl on the backside of the sign is mostly gone, as shown.
