Antique Photograph Cabinet Card of Woman (c.1870s)

We may never know her name....

We think every face tells a story. What was this woman's story?
Maybe she was a very stern woman. She liked a very neat and tidy house, and she insisted that her children were always neat and clean - she wouldn't hear of them playing in the mud! She ran her household in an almost military fashion and she expected everyone in the house to follow her rules. She rarely smiled, and always had a hard look in her eyes. Once her children were in bed, she would retire to her bedroom and let her hair down. She would sit in front of her mirror, brushing her hair while softly singing love songs about her husband that she lost in the war. She had a soft side in her heart and a light spirit, but she only showed this part of her at night when she was alone. She couldn't let others know how vulnerable she really was...

ITEM CONDITION
This antique cabinet card photograph is in good condition - especially considering it is around 140 years old. The photograph is intact. The backside of the card is embossed with "F. H. Larrabee, Photographer, Hillsboro, Ills." There is also a number "23.973" written on the back of the card - this appears to be a family tree record number.
