Vintage / Antique "College Songs and Glees" Song Book (c.1896) - Rare Collectible
College Songs and Glees, Including the Most Admired Songs, New and Old, Used in the Colleges of America - complied and edited by Thomas G. Shepard
Add this old song book to your collection, or use it as a piece of historical music decor.
This book was published in 1896. The songs included in the book are particularly intended for male voices (probably not a lot of women in college 116 years ago). The songs were compiled by Thomas G. Shepard, who was the musical instructor of the Yale Glee Club since 1873. There are many songs within the book, including the Alma Mater for Cornell, the Alma Mater for the University of Chicago, and the Alma Mater for Yale. Romeo and Juliet, The Dude Who Didn't Dance, We Meet Again Tonight, and more.
This would be a fun book to page through, especially for a music lover. It would also look great sitting along side your piano.
Of course, if you really prefer, you could also take the book apart and use the pages in your art and paper projects - we'll leave that up to you.
